Selected first overall by Saskatchewan in the Ottawa Player Dispersal Draft in April, 2006...originally signed by the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 1996, where he spent most of the season on the practice roster...Played QB for the World League's London Monarchs in 1997...Signed by Washington in 1997 and moved to tailback during training camp...Played for the Rhein Fire in the spring of 1998 but as a safety...Signed by Seattle in the spring of 1998 and played safety for the Seahawks for the next four seasons...Also returned punts for them briefly...Released by Seattle in April 2002 and signed by Ottawa in April of 2003.

2007: Became the first Saskatchewan Roughrider to win the League’s top player award since the 1976 season when Ron Lancaster was the CFL’s Outstanding Player. Joseph finished the season completing 267-of-459 attempts for 4,002 yards, 24 touchdowns, eight interceptions and a passer efficiency rating of 97.1. The five-year CFL veteran rushed for 13 touchdowns, the second most by a quarterback in a single season in CFL history.

2006: Dressed in all 18 regular season games…started 14 regular season games and both playoff games at quarterback…completed 28 of 39 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns in week 3…completed 26 of 38 passes for 405 yards and one touchdown in week 5…finished season with 267 completions on 463 attempts for 3,489 yards and 22 touchdowns…also rushed 91 times for 583 yards and four touchdowns….received the Frontier Peterbilt Presidents' Ring Award for having exceptional motivational and leadership skills on and off the field.

2005: Became only the third player in league history to exceed 4,000 yards passing (4,466) and 1,000 rushing (1,006) in 2005. He threw 25 TD passes and ran for another nine.

2004: Named Rogers AT&T CFL Offensive Player of the Week on July 6 ... Suffered a foot injury (left) in the second quarter of the Renegades' last game (July 16 vs Winnipeg) and missed Ottawa's game at Toronto, against Calgary and at B.C... Returned to the line-up on August 19, at home, against Hamilton... Game 1 @ WPG: Surpassed 300 yards in one game for fourth time in carrer with 307-yard effort. Threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Yo Murphy in third quarter, breaking a 13-13 tie. Scored touchdown on one-yard plunge early in fourth quarter. Gained 50 yards on five carries... Game 2 @ TOR: Performed well in wet conditions. Threw 47-yard touchdown pass to Yo Murphy in third quarter (has not thrown a TD pass to another player to date in season). Ran four times for 29 yards... Game 3 vs EDM: Finest performance by Joseph to date in a Renegades uniform. Set franchise records in passing yardage in one game (436) and scoring touchdowns (three rushes). Equalled franchise record (Dan Crowley) with three touchdown passes in one game... Completed 25 of 31 attempts and did not throw an interception. Rushed for 61 yards on nine carries. Named league's offensive player of week following performance.... Game 4 @ MTL: Despite intense Alouettes pressure, Joseph completed 21 of 30 passes for 215 yards and recorded a touchdown pass... Game 5 vs WPG: Went 10-of-18 for 147 yards into the second quarter before being injured on a sack. Ended his streak of four consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass... Game 9 vs HAM: Was 15-of-28 passing, for 214 yards, in his return to the Renegades line-up as starting quarterback following three-games on the injured reserve. Threw a touchdown pass to Josh Ranek... Game 10 @ EDM: Surpassed 300-yard plateau again, but wasn't enough against the Eskmos. Completed 17 of 26 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns, but was picked off four times. His two touchdowns were deep strikes - one 72 yards to Yo Murphy, the other a 75-yard bomb to Jason Armstead. Also rushed twice for 9 yards... GAME 11 vs MTL: Attempted 41 passes and completed 21 of them en route to a 234-yard effort in the air. Hooked up with Jason Armstead on a 15-yard touchdown pass and also rushed three times for 18 yards... Game 12 vs B.C.: Continued success in the air with 19 completions on 28 passes for 296 yards. Found Armstead for the third time in as many games for a touchdown pass. Game 13 @ CGY: Was 18 out of 34 for 169 yards including a 19-yard TD pass to Bendross. Also added 10 rushes for 66 yards, including his longest run of the season, a 32 yard dash... Game 14 @ SSK: Completed 18 of 29 passes for 193 yards and threw for 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. 2003: Had a streak of 15 consecutive games with a touchdown pass snapped Oct. 26 @ Montreal. Had passed for at least one TD in each of his previous 15 appearances. The 15-game streak set an Ottawa professional football record, previously held by Russ Jackson, set during the 1966 and 1967 seasons.
